THE 3 HOUR DIET PROMISE




The Three Hour Diet has a semi promise. Jorge Cruise explains that, on this particular diet, you will loose two pounds a week. He asks that you choose how much you want to loose, there are charts and examples in the book to assist you, and he asks that you divide that amount by two. And the number you come up with will be how many weeks it will take you to accomplish your goal.

For example, if you weight 220 pounds, and you would like to weight 140 pounds, then the amount you would like to loose is 80 pounds. Divide that 80 by 2 and you get 40. Therefore, it will take you 40 weeks, if you follow the plan, to get to your goal weight. Pretty cool, eh?

One very good reason, besides good health, we want to loose only two pounds a week is so that our skin will shrink with our weight loss. Jorge discusses this and how if people loose weight too fast that they can have excessive skin.

Well, I got the book on Thursday, January 15, 2009, and I weighted myself the next day, Friday, January 16, 2009, and then I weighted myself again, last Friday, January 23, 2009, and I lost 2 pounds. Not bad!

Lets see if I can keep this up.

So far, so good with The 3 Hour Diet.

NEW WEIGHT LOSS HABIT



Happy Friday!

Yesterday, I discovered a new weight loss habit that is going to help me succeed with my new The 3 Hour Diet life style.

First I want to talk a little about drinking enough water, since my new habit concerns drinking water. Jorge Cruise, the author of The 3 Hour Diet, discusses drinking lots of water. He indicates several reasons why it is good for you. It is good for your skin, your digestion, and keeping you hydrated, among other things.

I have always been an avid water drinker and I assume that I am drinking enough because water is the only thing I drink.

Every morning, I kid you not, I drink approximately three glasses before breakfast. The reason I do that is because I am dying of thirst when I wake up. In addition, I drink one or two glasses with every meal. I won't tell you how many meals I have, lol, but lets just say, I was confident I drank enough.

When I was reading, The 3 Hour Diet, Jorge discusses how much we should drink and why. Well, I was wrong, I was not drinking enough water. The amount of water, he suggests drinking, has to do with your weight.

Looking at the amount of water I drink and the fact that I do not drink enough you are probably thinking I weight a lot. Well, in my eyes, I do.

Okay, so, my new habit is, I drink the amount of water I am suppose to, according to Jorge Cruise, and, this is the best part, I drink a full glass of water any time I "think" I am hungry.

Many times I "think" I am hungry but I really am not. It is a mind thing, I think. Well, I tried my new habit yesterday, and after I drank the glass of water, when I "thought" I was hungry, I realized, I was not, at all!

So,that is my new habit or I should say habits. Drink enough water, according to Jorge Cruise, and drink one full glass when I "think" I am hungry. Jorge states that sometimes when we think we are hungry we are just thirsty.

This habit, when put into practice, will help me DESTRESS AND WEIGHT LESS.

What do you think about that? I like it! Now I just have to remember to do it, lol.

THE 3 HOUR DIET; THE MIDDLE

I am really lovin this book, The 3 Hour Diet. It is really cool. I have been doing it for days now and it makes a lot of sense so far.

The particulars of the diet is, you eat every three hours. In the morning, you eat breakfast one hour after you wake and then you eat every three hours. First breakfast, then snack, then lunch, then another snack, then dinner, and then you get a treat.

Jorge explains how many calories you should intake. He also explains how to measure your plate. Using a nine inch plate, fill half with vegetables or fruits, split the other half of the plate in quarters, and have a quarter plate of protein and a quarter plate of carbohydrates. In addition, you get to eat fat at every meal.

Jorge Cruise claims several advantages to this particular diet. When you participate in loosing weight with the three hour diet, your metabolism increases, you loose belly fat first, you don't get hungry because you eat every three hours, and you get to eat what you want, not in quantity just what kind of food you want.

This diet, or better yet life change, is very enticing to me for several reasons. First, I love to eat and we get to eat every three hours. Second, I do not like to give up my favorite foods. And I would love to loose my belly fat.

Jorge also discusses the importance of all the food groups like protein, carbohydrates, fat, vegetables, fruits, water, and a lot more.

Sounds like a great diet and I am trying it. Oops, I keep saying diet but it really is a life style slash eating habit change.

I am really enjoying reading this book as well. Jorge Cruise is very encouraging and the book has a lot of success stories. I mean, really good stories.

THE 3 HOUR DIET; THE BEGINNING

The 3 Hour Diet is really cool so far.

Diets are always really cool to me. It is funny because some diets don't work and some do, it just depends on who you talk to.

Like our thumb prints and our DNA, we are all very different and therefore, need a different plan.

I do believe I will be trying The 3 Hour Diet for a while. It has been 3 days now and I have lost 3 pounds, cool, huh?

I always loose weight when I try a diet. The hard part is maintaining the habits and lifestyle.

This program is cool because you eat every three hours. We can eat three meals, two snacks, and one treat. The best part! We can eat whatever we want.

Oh, one of the things Jorge Cruise has you do in the book, that is really cool, is pick a couple of words to describe yourself. The "
yourself" that you visualize yourself being. I chose, "slim n sexy." Fun, huh?

THE 3 HOUR DIET BY JORGE CRUISE

Hi there!

Are you ready to destress and weight less?

It is time to take responsibility for your life and to choose a plan.

If you have not chosen a plan, let me just run a list of ideas...

Slim fast - this is a cool plan because you can log onto their website and get a plan for free and they even give you a menu and recipes. Very cool site. This plan consists of shakes, bars, snacks, and a meal or two.

Carbohydrates addicts diet - I tried this plan and liked it. I think I lost like 30 pounds doing this plan back in the early 2000's. On this plan you eat two meals without carb's and one with.

Atkins diet - high in protein and low in carb's.

Weight watchers - I am not sure but I think they still weight their food and they have a point system.

Nutri-system - I do not know much about this diet. I think you pay for your meals and they are proportioned to what we should eat.

Of course these are just a few suggestions but you can google "weight loss plans" or ask your friends and family for advice. And I would advise you to speak to your Personal Medical Doctor before you start any kind of diet.

Diet! Darn four letter word.

Another suggestion I have is that you set some rules to change your life style and eating habits for life, this way you are not on a diet and you continue to loose and maintain your weight.

Yesterday, I was at the book store and I picked up a book called,
The 3 Hour Diet, by Jorge Cruise. I have only read through part I, the first three chapters. But, I love it so far. Jorge talks about changing your life style and he has several testimonials on his weight loss plan. The book claims that he has helped millions.

It doesn't really sound like a diet but more like a life style/eating habit change. I posted The 3 Hour Diet book to the left of the blog if you are interested. Also, I have posted some of the other diets mentioned above and two other top sellers to the left as well. They are,
Eat This Not That, which claims to be a No Diet Weight Loss Solution, and Flat Belly Diet book. I have not read either of these but I have heard they are BIG on the diet books.

Setting a Specific Goal; The First Step

Well, have you set a specific goal yet? Have you made a New Years Resolution?

The goal would be to
weight less, right? So then the next step is to choose a specific plan. Will you join a diet program? You could always go to the drug store and get the latest and greatest diet supplement. Another option would be to see your Private Medical Doctor and get prescription medication that suppresses your appetite. Some other options would be hypnotherapy or subliminal cd's. Maybe you can google "loose weight," in order to do more research. My favorite thing to do is go to the book store and read the current best seller on weight loss. I usually end up buying the book.

Whatever your plan is I am confident you know what will work for you. And if you don't, we can discover what will work while on this journey.

Overeating is a very stressful habit and in order to manage we must choose a plan. Things to consider, to add to your plan, would be to attempt to manage your stress, learn to relax, feel more gratitude, feel more love, or just release worry.

Some really good goals you may consider are to exercise more, set eating right rules, get healthier, sleep better, improve your relationships, or get another job or career.

Any of these suggestions will help the process.

Maybe you would like a bigger goal. When I think of big goals I think of creating your dream life. When we create our dream life I like to say we are making our own miracles. The reason I call them miracles is because when we think about our dream life we always wish and think, “some day.” But if you dream and then evolve your thoughts, feelings, and actions, towards creating and then living your dream life it is a miracle.

The reason it is a miracle is because when we just dream, we don’t believe it is possible, and when it comes true, it is a miracle. A miracle because we didn’t believe it would ever happen and it is happening.

If you plan a bigger dream it will assist in keeping your mind off loosing weight and will increase your happiness. In other words, it will give you something else to focus on and occupy your time.

This is my hope for you. My hope is that you will dream, dream big, make it specific, and then I will help you evolve your thoughts, feelings, and actions so that you may create your miracle. Evolve your thoughts into believing that it is possible, evolve your feelings into faith in yourself, and then evolve your actions to move towards your miracle while increasing your speed out of enthusiasm.

I know the power you have within you. I know because I have seen it over and over, time and time again. I have seen extremely stressed out people loose weight, become destressed, and create their own miracles.

Now, dream big, make it specific, and let us embark on a journey of making miracles. You can do it! Right now! Write it down and make it specific. This is going to be awesome!

Destress and Weight Less 2009: Take Responsibility for Your Life

Are you ready to obtain the life you dream of?

The theme for this month is, "Taking Responsibility for Your Life." What does that mean? It means taking responsibility for your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Therefore, taking responsibility for you life.

Whether you want to loose weight or not, you are totally capable and we, at Destress Yourself, are here to help you.

The first step is to set a specific goal, big or small. Pick what you want, the date that you want it by, and make it specific. For example, maybe you would like to loose 20 pounds by September 30, 2009.

The second step is to follow this blog.

The third step is to participate in the free teleclass that is offered monthly, which you can find on our calendar page and access through our free newsletter.


Finally, set some rules and tasks for yourself on obtaining your goal(s). Make a list of all the rules that you will follow, things that will work for you and help you. Also, make a list of all the things that you will have to do to obtain your goals.

Make this simple, and don't stress over it, because all of this will work out perfect as we move along week by week through our year together.
